Fact Check 3: Did Chinese Doctors Confirm African People Are “Genetically Resistant” to Coronavirus?

Wouldn’t it be amazing if some people were born with a certain immunity to a particular ailment? You know, kind of like in a videogame? Well it seems as if that might be the case for African People. That’s right, you heard it here first, African People may be “genetically resistant” to the Coronavirus.

Unfortunately, that is not now the world works. That is to say, life isn’t a videogame, and certain groups of people aren’t immune to certain status ailments or diseases. That includes the African people and the Coronavirus. For you see, an article on archive.is under something called cityscrollz.com, with the name of Chinese Doctors Confirmed African Blood Genetic Composition Resist Coronavirus After Student Curedwas published, and it was (believe it or not) wrong.

https://archive.is/sKtDE#

In the online article, it said that a young student in China who had the virus was recently released from the hospital and is now cured of it entirely, which shocked all of their doctors, since over 1,000 people have died from it. The only logical conclusion that the doctors could arrive at was that “his blood genetic composition which is mainly found in the genetic composition of sub-Saharan Africans” was the reason for his survival and for curing him.

It then goes on to say that he also lived “because he has black skin” and that “the antibodies of a black are 3 times stronger, powerful, and resistant compare to the white”. Due to that one African stated something that I personally laughed with joy at, which was “black man is indestructible” and to paraphrase “Caucasians are always at war with our black skin because they know that it is better, and they will never wipe us off.”

So, cased closed. The Africans are indestructible. Except…

In an article review on Snopes.com, they state that the only reason that the African student recovered after 13 days, was because he was drugged up with antibiotics and other drugs, and that it had nothing to do with his genetics as an African. And based off of that and the fact that the original article was posted on a so called “junk site”, Snopes calls the bluff on this bogus blunder.
