Isolation Blog

Hello and welcome to my viewers new and old. I hope that you are all doing well out there during this hilariously chaotic time. Are you surviving? Are you staying in doors? Well you should. Social distancing is apparently the key to the survival of what remains of the human race. If we all do our part, we will be let out of our houses before you know it… or we might be turned into an actual police state, like I’ve been predicting would happen since before all of this madness started, with armed police or military men roaming the streets at night and day, yelling at us through their megaphones to “Stay indoors!” and to “Stay off of the streets!”. “This is not a test! This is for your own safety!” But that is just speculation on my part.

I, however, am doing just fine. I am alive. I am surviving. I… am irrevocably board. It’s not that I don’t have anything to do, it’s just… all of my classes have switched to an online format, and I’m not the biggest fan of online classes. They bore me. I am bored, quite literally to the point of tears, due to the fact that I am yawning so much. It’s information over load, it’s a whole lot of reading (and I don’t like reading), and I’ve never been a huge fan of technology to begin with. Let me tell you that it is no exaggeration when I say that I have no energy or motivation to do anything for these classes, and that I would rather rip out my hair or just retake the classes another semester than do these classes online.

There is one thing, however that might help both myself, and you, my dear readers. We need a change of space. The self-isolation is normal to me since I’ve been living this life for 2.5 years, but what keeps you sane is changing up your view. For me, I would either go on a walk or imagine myself somewhere else with my super vivid and lifelike mind’s eye that is so detailed and life like that it seems like I am actually there or that it is a memory of something that already happened when in fact, it was not. The problem is, I can’t do my homework and my imagination and have it be done in the real world, so I’m going to have to switch up my environment, and so are you for I know that you are going on the verge of insanity, and believe you me, once you flirt with the fine line between sanity and insanity there is almost no return (unless you know how).

Anyway, where am I supposed to go to do my work? It’s not like there’s anywhere to go? That is where I say think bigger. Sure, you could do it in your room, but that is most likely where your bed is. And your bed is calling you in soft and hushed tones to come over, lay down, and have a nap. Not the ideal choice if you have work that needs to get done.

You could try your living room or basement. But your family is probably there most likely going stir crazy. They can be a very distracting source, and besides, you don’t want them hearing your meetings on all 5 different video platforms. You need somewhere away from it all, a place that nobody is going to bother you.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, may I propose to you the greatest idea ever thought of in the history of world between April 10th-11th2020: doing your school work outside. That’s right, doing your work outside is a brilliant idea, and the perfect way to get your work done. You will get your well needed fresh air. You will get your change of environment. And if you have a truck, then you too will impress all of your neighbors who shouldn’t even be outside in the first place. Just look at me go!

Here is how to impress your neighbors with a truck:

First, if you have a desk, take it outside and then place it into the bed of your truck. Second, go grab a chair and place it in the bed of your truck as well. Thirdly, go grab anything that you might need to get your school work done, like: writing implements, your school books, your laptop, and most importantly, your sun glasses. The sun can get very bright; so bright, in fact, that you can’t always see the screen of your laptop. And when you are done, be sure to take all of that back inside if you don’t want your stuff to get rained on, or have nature destroy it.

If you follow these simple steps, then you too can isolate in style, as well as stay sane while getting all the fresh air that you can breathe.

Thank you for reading.
